Industrial music with a bit of “ambient” sounds thrown in just to make you think they've gone soft. The dynamic duo of Fulber and Leeb are re-united to bring us the first release under the FLA monaker in two years. Their side projects (Fulber's Conjure One and Leeb's Delerium) shine through in this release and it is quite evident they're influencing FLA more than the other way around. However, it is nice to see these guys have not lost their touch for making some kick-ass industrial music and it's quite evident with tracks such as “Psychosomatic” and “Maniacal”. If you're liking the softer side of FLA you might want to check out “Transmitter” and “Civilization.”

the good: a wide range of sounds for a number of djs to spin; liked the sampling and sounds in all the tracks
the bad: it's probably my fault but I was expecting a harsher sound permeating the entire album...it wasn't there
the ugly: mis-numbered and missing tracks on the back of the CD; really annoying if you're trying to figure out names to tracks; Metropolis is notorious for this. grrrrrrr

1.Psychosomatic: heavy electronic beats; clean AND distorted vocals; some eastern-music sounds thrown in (8) 2.Maniacal: slower intro; chorus in background; beats come in—nice; danceable; my fave of the album (9.5) 3.Transmitter: tribal beats in intro; nice guitar samples; sounds a lot like their Intermix side-project (7) 4.Vanished: slower beats; more melodic; tribal vocals (9) 5.Strategic: kicks off with samples; heavy drum 'n bass beats (7) 6.Civilization: slow intro with synths; trip-hop beats; Conjure One -like (7) 7.Fragmented: synths in the intro w/ samples; good beats (8) 8.Parasite: groovy beats and vocals; heavy bass line (8) 9.Dissident: echoing samples in intro; slower w/ heavy beats (7) 10.Schicksal: haunting intro w/ piano and synths in background.
