Deceptively mellow session led by cello and guitar. Dom Minasi plays a regular jazz guitar, for that quiet nightclub sound, but his solos sometimes wander into crazy, scattery territory, as do cellist Tomas Ulrich's (see track 7).

Compositions draw from traditional jazz ideas, so this isn't an all-out avant-garde kind of session. More like straight jazz from an old cat who likes to add strange angles and new spices. The cello tends to dominate the sound, making the session feel murky even in the faster pieces -- like a muddy race track.
