KZSU familiars, Riot-A-Go-Go is local punk trio that rawks… rawks hard. With two female members up front, girl rawk power comes out loud and strong. This is fast, high energy, slashy and to the bone. The ladies aim at assaulting you fast, loud and hard. Lead guitars with garage-y textures and grabbing/captivating bass lines. Think of the hardest edges of Sleater Kinney and then keep thinking of them, because it ain’t backing down from there… hard edge all the way. Pump your fists. Fuel your rockets.
Play 9, 1, 11, 13, 6, 8
1. Very fast. Hard screaming lead vox. Sassy-sexy female vocal fills.
2. Choppy/bouncy guitar strumming. Garage-y leads.
3. Fast. Cruisingly neurotic.
4. Insanely fast. Slashy guitars. Sky-rocketing vocal effects and “oh-oh’s”
5. More of the same insanely fast pace. Hard pounding on the toms in between.
6. Nice bass/drum break in this one with soft vocals.
7. Slashy fast grrrl punk.
8. Sleater Kinney-ish… especially in the backing vocal harmonies.
9. Playful and feminine. Sunny and catchy garage-y pop chune.
10. More on the punk rock’n’roll side.
11. Starts with nice drum roll… builds up nicely. Rebelious. Political.
12. See #7 - 13. Another political appeal to “think for yourself”. Nice bass, drum rhythmic break
