Strange psycho rock, multi-rhythms, smart though like a low-brow Mr Bungle, but more like the fucked-up-ness of early Butthole Surfers, irreverence of Killdozer, flat out strangeness of the Bunnybrains. Their sound is getting more intellectual (for want of a better term) with time. But still, that’s relative. They still know their forte, and that sounds like the sludgy stuff to me. These guys definitely sniffed too much glue in their youth, fell off the tailgate and hit their heads, arrived in life with umbilical cords wrapped around their necks. Had mothers who drank heavily while gestating.
