Album Review
Popcorn

Classic Soft Machine songs totally reinvented. Psychedelia a-la oldest Pink Floyd with updated
instrumentation and young musicians. Daevid Allen from the original and Gong
does soft old hippie vocals, with a lot of pop sensibility. The other guys
do a partially spectacular job of using 90s idioms
to put a lot of punch, even in softer songs.
Not burned out, burning brightly.

1)crashing/pretty then slow groove, screaming guitars
*2) repetive pop, catchy
3) fast energetic w/spacy long groove
*4) waltzy very 1966, then hard rock
*5) jazzy smooth ballad
6) big chords, guitar shreds, ballad
7) fast straight rocker
8) simple driver, kinda singsongy
9) privacy concerns, sliding voice at end
10) weeoooh, BeachBoys pop
11) weird vocals, swirly accelerando
*12)loopy start, loping hardrock
13) 66 pop at its nicest
