Great, local (Oakland), raw hardcore. Touches of fast punk and even rock-n-roll but pretty much sticking to a fast hardcore sound. Heavy, raw, with scratchy female vocals you can understand some of the time. Social, political lyrics that don’t mess around. A lot of the tracks sound the same and a lot of the tracks on Side B run together.
Side A:
**1. Feedback into medium paced fast punk with a small anthem feel. 1 of only 2 tracks over 1:30 seconds long.
2. Bass intro, noisy, rockin, and I think you can hear a “fuckin”.
**3. Slight 80s hardcore sound.
4. Raw and noisy.
**5. Heavier with ominous sounding intro. Goes into chaotic and noisy sounds.
6. Lurching and restrained before kicking into straight ahead hardcore. Great vocals.
7. Quiet intro. Straight ahead hardcore but the chorus you can understand the vocals and the music is more melodic.
Side B:
1. More vocals I can make out. Has a nice build up in the middle. Classic anti-slogan topic.
**2. Classic hardcore to begin into a speedy straight ahead sound. Ends with feedback that runs right into the next track.
**3. More prominent bass. A short guitar lick!? Brutal vocals halfway through with some noisy feedback in the background. A guitar solo! This shreds!
4. Odd bass to begin. Short
5. Vocals more understandable and guitar more discordant.
**6. Big sounding, almost emo sounding until it all slows down and the guitar and vocals trade off. Ends with feedback.
**7. Choppy muted guitar chords into full on speedy hardcore. We go back to the beginning once.
Great stuff! -mph
