Holy Shit Gary Wilson has a new record. Gary kinda became a cult hero when his music from the late 70’s and early 80’s we reissued on CD (We have both reissues in the library). Now low and behold Gary releases a new record and it sounds like he picked up exactly where he left off: Lots of sythy melodies, quasi-disco beats, strange moods and endless songs about making out and hooking up with chicks. He kind of sounds like a bad wedding band from the 80’s, but in some weird way I like it. Often times he’ll break out with complete weird noise as well. Gary Wilson is a mystery. Listen and feel icky.

5* (2:03) warped yelling with Bass and chaos brewing. Syth swelling. Whats he building in there?
6**(2:03) ride the disco spaceship. This song is hilarious. Gary’s in the Park…
7 (2:00) Sythy intro into a quirky 4/4 white groove. Another song about girls
8**(1:41) Lullabye spoken, lots of keys, free saxaphone. Creepy
9** (5:05) Song of deception. Power ballad? Gets real freaky and slow and dark.
10**(2:03) Moody keys start with bass then a serious Doobie Brothers groove hits. Led by an organ solo, very cool

12 (1:22) Dark spoken piece with keys and noise. Very weird
13* (2:14) another disco stomp about a woman. Gary sure loves talking about himself
