Yep Roc says this Nashville based band is hellbilly music or southern goth and even delta punk. I couldn’t agree more. Fans of Reverend Horton Heat check this out. God bless the dirty south and this here band!Play tracks: 3,6-8,11.
1) Has a celtic feel to it, fiddle work is nearly
eerie, kick your heels and swing your partner.
2) Leaning toward americana, vocals sound as if they are being belted through a megaphone. Nice touch. Lyrics about creeks rising and full moons.
3) ***Rock track with fuzzy vocals, devil talk, slow start then abrupt rockout sessions. Back and forth from chill to nuts.
4) FCC-piss repeatedly.
5) Americana’esque. Swamp Boogie.
6) * Slow draw rock…get the fuck down harmonica makes this a smoking track.
7) **Psychadelic hellbilly, guitar boogie, fiddle
fest.
8) **Sweet ass groove-harmonica man, gets real loud and nutty & then down & dirty blues. Feel the sticky icky that is the dirty south.
9) More megaphone vocals & and then comes that
harmonica man.
10) Slowest track on the album.
11) ***Harmonica madness, blazing saddles
rock-a-boogie.
12) Instrumental and very short version of track 1.
12/5/04.
