Swamp rock/Looziana blooz-boogie. Guitar-based, with drawled/growled vocals. Not as voodoolicious as his first record from more than 10 years ago, but still a certain amount of soulful menace. According to the sticker, FCCs on 2, 6, 8 and 9 (is "Bust-a-nut" really FCC? Yeesh!)
I like em all except 10, myownself, but 2 and 6 are good places to start.
1. 3:45 it's got a good beat n you kin dance to it
2. 4:14 **cool shuffle with MONDO reverb
3. 4: 23 slow and sparse with potential zombies
4. 4:54 rather Latin rhythm, with a couple spacey breaks
5. 2:55 zydeco fiddle (no drums) song about runaway slave
6. 2:49 **down-tempo stomper with gonzo guitar
7. 4:33 slow blues-rock, 2 lead guitars, funkensteinish chorus, abrupt cut-off
8. 5:10 down-tempo, spare production, growling bass, rattlesnake bites
9. 2:57 swingin' zydeco - git on out there and two-step!
10. 14:21 two tracks: 5:36 - The Obligatory Acoustic Guitar Ballad; 4:51 - mostly silence; 3:54 - sort of a swamp blues sampler
