Discovered by Jeffrey Evans, the man who discovered and introduced the White Stripes to the rest of the world, these ladies combine PJ Harvey’s blues-rock influences and visceral vocal belting with the Black Keys’ blues-ier guitar chops, and channel them through an 100% unadulterated garage-punk sound that includes primal tom-based beats, slushy one-note organ sounds, and ample rock-thefuck-out distortion. Sweet as Holly Golightly and visceral as PJ Harvey. This will make the hair on your back stand up straight and may bring you before tears of Mr Airplane Man-mania.
