Hrvatski – Irrevocably Overdriven Break Freakout Megamix (Entschuldigen)
A noisy, sampled mix of every sort of electronic music imaginable. Under a layer of noise and very quick changes, I heard some drill-n-bass, break beats, techno, house, dub, ambient drones, glitch, improvised beats (like Wobbly), even early computer noises. There are some very distorted vocals samples. All of this is one continuous live performance (recorded in San Francisco) that is chopped up into 91 very short tracks. These tracks range from 6 seconds long to 1:04 seconds so you probably want to find a group of tracks that you like and put the CD player on continuous. I take it this is all performed on a laptop. Tons of quick changes and unexpected turns. I swear I even heard some gabber. If you have a short attention span and like improvised electronic samples this is perfect. Since the tracks are so short and all run together there isn’t much use for a track by track description.
Good stuff -mph
