Originally called Playdoh, this French 5-member collective creates contemplative, sometimes dark, beautiful electronic pop. Although it is not really minimalist, it does give this feeling. Has been compared with Sigur Ros and Notwist. All tracks are great. Try 2,3,4,8,10.
1) Short intro.
*2) Sampled female voice, guitar and drums.
*3) Opens with beautiful hypnotizing loops, leading to a moody melody carried by a guitar and soft male or female voices.
*4) Mid tempo. Guitar/bass/drums/male vocal, female voice in the background. Monotonous and beautiful.
5) Mid tempo. Male and female voices, bass and drums. Distant trumpet.
6) Long loopy electronic piece that unfolds slowly.
7) Slow and beautiful. Moody loops and female voice.
*8) Electronic hums and chirps, bass, drums and guitars. Alternating male and female voices.
9) Purely instrumental. Repetitive and gentle.
*10) Instrumental. Starts with some rusted seesaw, rain and people noises. Later, enters a moody piano and later the music thickens with a guitar and more.
