Pablo Moses: Pave the Way (2 Cd set: reggae/dub -
Young Tree Records)
Reviewed by: Beezher 08-20-2005
Upbeat, creatively produced reggae and dub music for
the mases, sweet vocals. Pablo Moses is a legendary
singer/songwriter with a soft and sweet voice and
striking lyrics. Geoffrey Chung creatively produces
and arranges these smoothly grooving songs. Musically
this reggae and dub set is a dose of fun relaxation
with smooth vocals and interesting production with a
diverse amount of sound effects. The instrumentation
is filled with fun synthy electro noises and unique
sounds like the cuica, marimba-like rhythms, and cool
bass rhythms. Many of Moses’ lyrics are
Rasta/Afro-centric in view and thought, with some
reflective and social content. FCC Clean.
