Straight forward pop rock. And in that I mean dark pop. The lead singer has a voice to die for. Most of the tracks sound the same. The lyrics could either be cute or a little bit stupid. However, there are some brilliant gems in here. I would recommend 2 and 12 but try 8, 9, and 11 as well.
Track One: Strong high powered guitar and drums. A little distortion. Fem pop. Fast.
*Track Two: Hey! Nice driving guitar @ beginning. Gives way to straight forward pop. Fast. Upbeat. Cute lyrics.
Track Three: Sparse pop. A little more electronica. Funny lyrics. Switches btwn simple lyrics and guitar line and driven pop-rock.
Track Four: More sweet pop mixed with heavy distorted guitars and bass. Midtempo. Lyrics are not brilliant.
Track Five: Heavy guitar. Fast. Story about girl and guy. Guitar gets a little melodic. Abrupt ending.
Track Six: Kind of spy surf tones. Fast Nice vocal breakdown that adds a little texture.
Track Seven: A little more sixties pop influence. Midtempo. Weird backup vocals.
*Track Eight: Nice sparse lyrics mixed with lush chorus. Simple pop.
*Track Nine: More rock, than pop in this one. A little less emphasis in the vocals.
Track Ten: Starts off with solo guitar. Trying a little more folk-y style here, they mix it with dark rock, and it doesn’t work quite as well as the high powered pop rock.
*Track Eleven: Nice driving vocals. A little darker than pop but great back up vocals.
*Track Twelve: Country style song only in pop form. V. cute!
