Local (San Mateo?) melodic death metal band with killer female vocals. Laura Nichol’s voice is a mix of Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy) & Tristessa (Astarte). The band plays tight & heavy, mostly thrashy melodic death ‘ala At The Gates or even a DM styled Holy Moses. Melodic without behind wimpy and aggresive & intense with few clichés. Maybe:a few too many songs, though
((((1)))) Ambience then thudding, blasting blackish/death metal ‘ala Astarte with At The Gates breakdowns.
(((2))) More straight-ahead, Arch Enemy/ATG heavy, mid-pace snarl.
(((3))) 1-2 riff ‘ala Slayer but mostly in the intense (not cheesy) side of the “Gothenborg” style.
((((4)))) Very Bay Area thrash ‘84-’89 & super loud, modern extreme metal breakdowns.
((5)) Builds up nicely but relys too much on instantly bland repetition.
(((6))) Trad metal mixed with modern melodic death metal. The vocals are really scathing but in a good way.
(((((7))))) 80’s speed metal with FAST & walloping THRASHIN’ DEATH METAL ATTACK!
(((8))) Thrash/death heavy on crunch riffing & rides a lot on the melodic noodling.
(((9))) Constant stream of redundant thrash with catchy breakdowns.
((10)) Mellow intro builds into strummy, instrumental.
