80’s damaged post-new romantic electro-rock made by SF locals. Like if Ultravox hung out with Trans Am and other Thrill Jockey types, but didn’t drink any beer. Moments of prog-ness but short lived. Funky beats everywhere with white guy guitarisms and accented vocals. Dissonance, mathy beats, pensive. Aches and pains.
1) noise guitar with a driving proggy rock beat
2) 80’s high hat goth rock beat and feel
3) funkier feel, thick guitars
4) instrumental, sparse spooky, tom tom beat and droney sounds
5) dissonant guitar, mathy, monotone
6) cool treatments, noise in intro, turns to a slower electro rock feel with snare shot dubby drum hits, vocals don’t ruin it too much
