Outlandish: Bread & Barrels of Water (RCA/BMG)
Reviewed by: Beezher 08-29-2005
Multi-cultural, multi-lingual Hip Hop beats, melodies and lyrics, deep, smooooth. Yes! Diverse in sound, flow, and origin, Outlandish bang out a deep and hard-hitting Hip Hop fusion of Arabic, Latin, and creative instrumentation. Based in Denmark, this male trio is comprised of a collective of individuals; Isam Bachiri (Moroccan), Lenny Martinez (Honduran), Waqas Qadri (Pakastanian). They have a smooth sound, with beautiful voices and interesting sound with introspective lyrics –and at times sad stories about people (particularly women) that they know/love. Listen to it, learn it, feel it. Smooooth, yet… Not FCC Clean, watch out for tracks: Tk3 “fuck (x2)”, Tk6 “fuck,” ”shit”, Tk10” muthafuckin”, Tk12” damn” (multiple times)”, shit”, Tk13”ass.”
