Acoustic guitar solos in two different veins: Gentle, melodic, and cascading -- or abstractly improvised. Has its John Fahey and Derek Bailey moments, as well as pretty and dark phases. A folky/country twang to these instrumentals, even on the more abstract tracks.
Savor the delicious sound of steel strings on the rustling improvs, and the autumn-leaves-falling tranquility (with dark shadings) of the pretty tracks. FCC clean.
- Spare bursts, a bit abstract.
- Slow, crystalline, slightly menacing
- Abstractly bluesy picking, alternates fast and slow phases
- Slow and pretty ... then some glorious abstract sound experimentation. Ends in a fairly quiet and dark space.
- Fast picking, starts stammery and falls into a nice groove. Even feels a little proggy.
- Gentle and soft, some bluesy twang. Gains speed later.
- Rattly, busy improv. Slow, slack twanging later.
- Shimmering fast; Fahey-like
- Contemplative, fairly quiet yet fast
- Cool twangy fingerpicking, after slow start. Deep and low.
- Pretty, melodic. A feel of deep longing. Speeds up later.
