2 stoner rock/doom metal bands. Spirtu being the more straight-ahead rock with barely passable vocals and some decent riffs. Village Of Dead Roads is the doomier & better of the two a little like Neurosis or Yob mixed with some decent hard rock bits
Spiritu section
((1)) Flangered drums, fuzzed out guitars, ‘meh’ vocals like some bad 90’s AOR rock.
(((2))) Loud & heavy riff but still bland vocals dragging it down.
(((3))) Winding, slow to mid-paced quasi-psych doom-rock.
((((4)))) Stereotypical but good stoner rock. Heavy & loud riff, very 70’s vocals, references to magic ‘shrooms. What else do you expect?
(FCC “fucking” sung once)
Village of Dead Roads section
(((5))) Loud & strong riff that helps the sometimes uneven vocals.
((((6))))) Nice instrumental - lots of low end soaked riff ‘ala Earthride wrapped in a layer of psych.
(((((7))))) Movie samples with some creep wanting to torture a woman. Lots of big riffs that have a perfect sustain & resonation.
((((8)))) Epic, spacey doom from the
“way-gone-o-sphere” ‘ala Yob. Nice!
