Lumbering, heavy metal from Oakland with members of High On Fire, Cuervo, and Christ On Parade. Very loud & resonating although not always 100% “on the mark” . Still, the songs are made extra-oridinary with Matt Pike’s (of H.O.F.) vocals. A good mix of modern metal with classic twin guitar harmonies.
(((1))) Twangy guitars, bassy sorta doomy.
((((2)))) Languid & ballad-like. Nice mix of volume and vocal styles with simple changes
(((3))) Jumps between slow, minimals chords to big bursts of heaviness. Gets pretty catchy near the end.
((((4)))) Giant riff, thunderous & repetitive. Builds to an epic, classic metal vibe.
(((((5)))) Straight-ahead & rockin’. Pike’s voice is in full-force. The entire song brings so much by using so little.
((((6)))) Slinky, slightly jagged riff, like a really good, modern power ballad.
(((((7))))) Great riffs, lots of changes, easy to follow chorus.
(((8))) Sullen, introspective feeling mellow to loud chord and “jutting outwards” heaviness.
((((9))))) Focused on 1 or 2 riff cycles. Really good interaction between vocals & guitars.
