Celebrating their 10th anniversary this Celtic band releases a live recording from a 2005 Philadelphia concert. Watch for applause on tracks. This is lively, well-played music (fiddles/ guitars/ perc/ vocals/pipes) played with respect for their Irish heritage but with thoroughly 21st century arrangements. Fluid, warm, and very good. Wonderful female vocalists too. A nice, solid release.
*1. Upbeat dance w/great perc/fiddle/vox.
*2. Solid, energetic medley of reels w/great playing from all. Yow!
3. Slow, Celtic folk. Pretty w/great vocals…but sooo sad.
4. Lots of clapping & some serious fiddle work in this upbeat set.
5. Warbling fem. vox/guitar – upbeat folk.
6. Downtempo w/rich, warm vox and quiet guitar work.
7. Mid/uptempo instrumental.
8. Slow & sweet instr. w/strings/flute. Full of longing.
*9. Upbeat jam w/a bright, engaging feeling.
10. A slow air w/great vocals & a heartbreaking feeling.
*11. Nicely energetic, percussive sound w/lots of passion.
12. Bouncy, sort of bluegrassy sound. Nicely done.
*13. Fast & a bit jazzy w/male vox & lots of energy.
