Acoustic indie pop led by soft, dreamy tenor vox of the Sufjan ilk. Swaying and wispy, with a good dose of lo-fi fuzz for a stuffy retro aesthetic. See also Richard Swift, Half-Handed Cloud
FCC Clean. Picks: 4, 9, 10, 11, 13
1. 2:41 Low energy. Female vox, with Spanish-inflected guitar strums.
2. 0:44 Bright organ swell fill
3. 3:01 Retro sound with tinkling chimes and processed tonal perc
*4. 2:27 Head-bobbing speakeasy feel.
5. 2:59 Mid energy. Happy lilting melody over darker, empty guitar sounds.
6. 2:50 Low energy. Simple guitar with reverby, distant vox and a quirky melody.
7. 2:29 Ticking drum machine under a somewhat catchy, blippy melody
8. 2:00 Forlorn honkey-tonk instrumental
*9. 1:49 Creaky back porch song. Great, simple folksy melody
*10. 3:55 Mid energy. Rolling ba-dum-bum-bum ditty. Nice electric guitar and reedy organ. Nice wandering guitar outro.
**11. 3:14 Upbeat, melodic finger picking under a rootsy folk dirge/spiritual
12. 1:51 Gliding, gentle guitar waltz
*13. 5:12 Spacey, noisy intro, then lulling, swelling cabaret tune. Hopeful, lazy, and fun. Transition at 1:17 to a somewhat darker, noisy air.
14. 1:50 Quirky guitar ballad with an old-west feel.
