Suprisingly good death metal/metalcore with a pretty noisy sound and some interesting guitar parts. Virtually impossible to comprehend vocals although not enough to off set their enticingly thick sound. Nice thick guitar sound goes from beginning to end. Another surprise: produced by Steve Albini.
(((1))) Mellow guitar intro then plunges into some pretty heavy bombastic metal.
(((2))) Good riff, harmonics, but the vocal parts are a tad redundant.
(((3))) Typical but not bad spastic metalcore ‘ala Today Is The Day.
(((4))) Fretboard apeshittery, charging thrashin’ death metal with a bit of a hardcore vibe. The “emo” part is mercifully short (though repeated).
(((5))) Pretty straight up and rockin, often shifts from the mellow to bombastic.
((((6))))) Really strong riff, pummeling heavy hardcore feeling with sweet solo.
(((7))) Loud, heavy guitars, pretty hammering but that’s about all it does.
(((8))) Chuggin’ on the open “E” chord and has a few other tricks like some nice tempo changes.
((((9)))) Straight up rockin’, loud & raw ‘ala Converge.
(((10))) Kinda fast and sorta techy but mostly garbled, growled vocals.
(((11))) Plenty of varation but not enough to keep it completely interesting.
