Freely improvised jazz from Southern California. Two guitars, clarinet, trumpet, bass, drums. Includes the usual scattershot kind of improv but more often has some great pensive moments with floaty electric guitar (1,2,5,7).
Short pieces. The longest is 7:55, with most of the others tracking in at less than 5 minutes.
Justice Constantine (drums)
Orlando Greenhill (acoustic bass)
Lynn Johnston (clarinet, bass clarinet)
Raymond Raposa (el. guitar)
Chris Schlarb (el. guitar, electronics)
Kris Tiner (trumpet)
1- Bubbly. Fast yet calm.
2- Gentle, summery guitar. Slow, partly ominous
3- Quiet, pensive guitar. Sparse.
4- Grumbly roar, slow, industrial. Spiky fast improv ending.
5- Pretty and gentle, mid/fast.
6- A fast, twittering jungle; aggressive but turns really quiet
7- Slow. Twangy guitar drone under bleating horns, then quieter.
8- Scattery attack
