More well-executed, epic, black (grey?) metal from these locals. The songs are getting longer but continue to challenge and impress. The album clearly demonstrates the intensity of the Cobbett/Cather guitar duo. This duo should be named among the legends like Hanneman & King or Smith & Murray. Yes, they’re just THAT good! Lyrically introspective and dark. Excellent all the way through and a MUST see live band.
(((((1))))) Moody and winding tempo. Melancholic but wonderfully epic and pretty damn heavy.
(((((((2)))))) Thunderous, fierce & headbangin’! One of their current (live) “hit” songs.
((((((3))))) Opens EXACTLY like Ozzy’s “Diary of a Madman” then gets stormy, bombastic and screamy. Some fantastic lead work from Cobbett & Cather.
(((((4)))) Big sound, tremelo riffing, some really awesome dual vocal part and solid drum work from Aesop. Eventually moves doomward/downward.
((((((5)))))) Epic and spacey and often fast. Sounds a bit like recent-era Enslaved. Trippy effect (flanger?) effect on Laurie Sue’s vox.
