A nice one album package that complies the absurdly prolific work of Mr. Childish- raw punk, lo-fi garage rock, blues and even spoken word. The dude has been all over the in various mediums since at least ’79. Great place to start & a great album all together.
(((((1))))) Trashy, punk rawk mayhem.
(((((2)))))) 4-5 chord garage madness. No polish whatsoever.
(((((3))))) Nasty punk rawk with a killer Oi!-like chorus.
((((4)))) Lo-fi, dirty harmonica strewn blues rock.
((((((5))))) Killer beat and swinging riffs, slap this on at yer next party!
(((((6))))) Excellent, 60’s French girl group rock with a lotta jangle and organ grooves.
((((7)))) Snarling garage/punk with tons of ripping guitar work.
((((8)))) Strummy and punky with really fucked up lyrics.
(((9))) TOO MANY FCCs – AVOID!
((((10)))) Rave-up, rawk n’ roll sounds like a few of the long lost bands from the Pebbles/Nuggets comps.
((((((11))))) Perfect 70’s UK punk sound. ‘Nuff said!
((((12)))) Strummy, 60’s “girls in the garage” thing. Nice vocals with a “gabba gabba hey” thrown in for good measure.
(((13))) Lo-fi blues strummin’, not bad but mostly “there”.
((((14)))) (FCC “piss”?) Fast, simple & direct punk with female vox.
(((15))) Country-blues-lo-fi garage strummin’ with pretty good vocals. A little too much guitar tweakage, though.
(((16))) Big sound with a strong 1965-66 mod/proto punk vibe.
((((17)))) Dirty, no-fi garage punk. Quite nice.
(((((18)))) Spoken word piece covering some autobiographical moments, the beauty of girl’s names, artists and more.
