Like the soundtrack to a movie. Minimalist classical (strings only), synth glassy bell tones, faint radio crackle, rain sounds. Some readings by Robert Wyatt on top Thomas Nola et Son Orchestre? but mostly instrumental. Sad, cheesy, beautiful, from a movie you've never seen. FCC clean. Picks 6,5,2,3,7
1-4:13) Quiet repetitive, glassy synth tone with string melody over top. Slow, drifting.
*2-6:50) Voiceover to begin. Slow moving, theatric string movements over the rain, whispering and fuzz.
*3-1:42) Austere, thoughtful solo piano.
4-4:24) Faint bed of rain and radiobroadcast. Voiceover about rain. New agey glassy electronic tones. Halfway looped chime tones enter.
**5-1:25) VERY Faint recording of strings. Like a forgotten Philip Glass piece, rediscovered on one decayed vinyl record 200 years later.
***6-3:54) Very sad but beautiful piano, strings, like from out of a movie. Vaguely reminds me of the Lento from Dvorak's American Quartet once the strings hit. Kleenex!
*7-1:51) Voiceover about rain. Bed of very faint wind, radio, static, pounding. Slow vibraphone repeats descending chords.
*8-5:35) String quartet, stately almost baroque chords, but with extra sustainy clusters. Wish the soaring violin line didn't enter.
9-0:53) Looped bed of glassy tones. Voiceover about the blue of the sky.
10-3:49) Faster moving solo piano, then strings. Eh.
11-1:43) More glassy tones. Voiceover a bit "spiritual".
12-1:03) A solo piano piece that sounds similar to 6. but isn't in 7/4.
