Einsturzende Neubauten - Unglaublicher Laerm
Old school industrial noise. Not too much unexpected in these live performances by the German industrial stalwarts; from the description on the back maybe you “had to be there.” Still, very solid, if hard to criticize. No FFCs. Track 2 is much more interesting and has some musicality to it, moving in the direction of Acid Mothers Temple in some parts.
1. Thundersheets, lots of loud crashing metal, your brain going down the gutter and the storm drain, rising screeching sounds, banshee howls and bells, atmospheric synth, creepy echoey vocals, jet plane noises, a xylophone (?!), driving space-filling sound, vampire bats coming to eat your brain through your ears, some tribal drums. [31:20]
*2. Cymbols, some (relative) quietness with tinny noise, sped up alien voices, a feeling of an empty warehouse, movie sounds, from which a beat arises and starts pushing you forward into something like a black hole, and more xylophones, and creepy bassy vocals. Ends with crossing an infernal portal. [19:31]
