Crazy, adventerous instrumental mix that goes all over the map. Pieces and parts of soundtracks music, classical, jazz/improv and a healthy dose of metal. Goes well with: Secret Chiefs 3, Naked City, Pelican and The Fucking Champs.
(((1))) Soundtrack-ish “orchestral tuning” with a thick layer of noise on top.
((((2))))) Big, fast Black Metal tremolo riffing into jazzy, repetitive noodling moving towards a mellow Nino Rota vibe.
((((3)))) Riffy metal/heavy rock then a mellow part right out of the 1st Pelican album.
((((4)))) Jazzy guitar (& eventually a horn) for a few minutes and a loud cresendo.
((5)) Random – “found noise” of chisels and glass?
((((6)))) Proggy yet surfy instrumental – lots of twang but strangely modern sounding.
(((((7)))) Nice acoustic folk ramblings with a few chords similar to Led Zep’s “Over The Hills And Far Away”.
((((((8))))) Loud and twangy, doomy, resonating riffs that continue to build and travel forward. Jumps between metallic and cinematic modes.
(((9))) Long space rock/psych jam on the mellow side until the slow thunderous ending.
((((10)))) More jazzy & twangy sounds. Pretty minima until the end.
(((11))) Trippy female voice from some movie with a “holding the tape recorder to the TV” sound.
(((((12))))) Moody but introspective that shifts from the quiet to the loud very nicely. If you love lots of guitar you’ll love this.
(((((13)))))) Heavy, bassy, doomy and lunging not purely “metal” as whole but certainly in the neighborhood
