Simple, solemn, and delicate. Described as “suitable for Tai Chi” so it’s obviously of a slow, relaxed, spiritual nature. But don't mistake "relaxed" for "new age". This is beautiful, traditional music played on traditional wind, string, and percussion instruments. The notes explain it better than I can.
*1. A midtempo processional piece w/a stately, formal kind of sound.
2. Slow and reverent. For the lighting of incense. Really pretty.
*3. Cymbals/perc, trilling strings/flutes. Slow but bright & warm.
4. Slow and lyrical w/a repeating motif.
5. A formal piece that sort of meanders. Slow, but the beat does change
6. Starts w/perc. Lots of flute and strings. Gets hypnotic after a while
*7. Elegant but sweet and flowing w/beautiful harmonies.
*8. Starts fast, changes tempo. Lyrical, almost playful at times.
*9. Gongs clash. Flutes trill. They bounce off each other. Midtempo.
10. Another slow processional piece. Nicely elegant & formal.
