Experimental electronics and guitar on the ambient side. Watery looped and chopped fuzz sort of reminiscent of Tim Hecker. Tracks 2&3 naturally follow one another. Standout track is 4 which is a collabo between Halverson and the Wa-KOW! collective who hail from Tulsa, OK. FCC clean. Picks - 4!
*1-15:49) Chopped fuzz builds up to drone, gets looser and louder. Chopped/looped acoustic guitar becomes prominent at -12:30. By -7:30 becomes unadultered guitar ala Six Organs Of Admittance. -5:50 electronics and manipulation return. Ends slower and very quiet. Last 10 sec. silent.
*2-10:12) Starts quiet and windy, almost solely electronic and stays that way til -5:40. Tone darkens, fills out, then crescendos to harsh fuzz at -3:15. Suddenly drops back down to windy with faint manipulated recorded voices.
*3-7:45) Starts off where 2. left off. We get some slightly harsher sounds, vaguely trainlike. -1:45 to end is VERY quiet tone, rain?, birds?.
**4-10:54) Combination of Halverson's soundbeds and a well done collage of samples from the 50s that contain the word "Tulsa" and samples concerning oil. The soundbed is windy/watery with some train sounds and "tape-fast-fowarding" sound. Last -1:30 VERY quiet and uneventful.
