Take a world tour for Christmas. Many tracks you won’t think of as “Christmas songs” if it weren’t for the fact that they’re on this CD. Others are classics that you know, though probably not in this style.
*1. Fast, frantic, merengue w/lots of energy. A total party.
2. Upbeat and jazzy Puerto Rican salsa. Tight and tasty.
*3. Mid/upbeat African guitars/vocals. Bright and lazy swaying.
4. Upbeat island parade music from Trinidad. Samba-esque.
*5. Lazy First Nations Christmas folk from Canada. Bluesy.
6. Slow, stately Italian folk in Latin accordion, vocal harmonies.
7. Slow, beautiful Christmas classic w/gorgeous fem vocals.
*8. Swedish folk, dark and atmospheric.
*9. Old, growly male vox in a bluesy take on a classic. Indecipherable.
10. Relaxed Cajun dance. Slow & formal.
*11. 100-person Breton choir, slow/mid flute, medieval & gorgeous.
12. Bulgarian folk for strings & fem voices. Mid/uptempo.
13. Slow, Arabic-infused opening. Into driving, mid anthem.
*14. Sweet, relaxed bluegrass gospel classic.
