SAMMY RIMINGTON: Visits New Orleans

This is top-flight traditional New Orleans jazz, recorded live at three gigs in 2005 for use in a film about Arhoolie Records. Rimington is a British clarinetist who studied under the great George Lewis and is now one of the best trad jazz players anywhere. These “field recordings” capture all the raw excitement of the music. Great stuff; check it out!
