Local, indie female songwriter/rocker. Supremely talented, strong willed, renegade feel throughout.
Hints of Tori Amos, the harshest moments of I&W, the softest experimentalism of Sonic Youth, even PJ Harvey, sonically befitting
a Quentin Tarantino soundtrack. So far favorite release of 2008! Play! Picks, 1,3,5,9,10
**1) Fast, drivin thru the desert.
*2) Fast piano driven rock with MSP's plaintive floating voice.
**3) Earnest guitar intro. 6/8 brisk, simmering rock. Great lyrics.
*4) Long quiet intro. Slow. Sultry, bluesy, with unusual instrumentation.
**5) Quiet rocker that feels like it's gonna burst at any moment!
**6) Dreamy, slow rock. Lyrics centering on natural imagery.
7) Edgy, almost lo-fi, jagged vocals. Bluesy. Just vocals and electric guitar.
8) Instrumental. Kind of weird, psychotic, and experimental.
**9) Dusty, rebellious, mid-tempo rocker.
**10) World elements. Seductive voice.
*11) Slow-mid paced, broad, epic feel. Strings, reverb, and some country elements.
*12) Jangly, slow, acoustic guitar 6/8 rock.
13) Instrumental. Weird but cool overdubbed acappella. Electric guitar with effects.
