San Jose via London-based poppy punk/hard rock mix with really good female vocals. There’s an odd but workable lo-fi production. Comes across like a discount version of Girlschool or maybe The NY Rel-X or the Eyeliners. The problem is the pop stuff leans a little close to generic in a quite a few places. Although they're talented and catchy for the most part.
(((1))) Uppity, basic poppy punk that rocks albeit with a bit of polish in the chorus.
((((2)))) Soaring vocals and mid-paced riffs and more poppy than anything but they pull it off well.
((((3)))) “Stoner rock” fuzz riff, cymbal centered drumming & really focused 80’s hard rock/poppy punk vocals. Pretty rad.
((((4)))) Straight up power-pop near perfection with a wailing solo.
(((5))) Heavy breathing and silly vocals “you-you-whooo-hoo….” Basic r n’r /power pop/punk mix. Good performance but kinda dodgy song.
(6) Kinda 80’s balladry with a tale about a dead prostitute. Yeesh, leave this stuff for Pat Benatar & Motley Crue.
(((7))) Loose, hard rock riffs & wailin’ then more power-pop with really confusing and odd vocals.
(((8))) More hard rock fuzz riffs and standard power-pop vocals. Not bad for what it is. Shoulda been on a soundtrack for some cheesy 80’s movie or a “retro-chic” version of one.
(((9))) Sluggish, cheerleader vocal/70’s glam crossed with 80’s power pop & glam. Sounds better on paper.
((10)) Pop-ska mixed with wailing guitars. Highly unnecessary.
((11)) Basic, shiny, 2 chord power pop. Too rudimentary to do anything interesting.
