This dishy, clarinet quartet delivers elegant Latin jazz by a host of Venezuelan composers. In addition to clarinet, guests provide drums and cuatro. It’s sophisticated and polished, almost classical at times, all instrumentals.
1. A slow, dreamy, meandering ballad that picks up later. Lovely.
*2. Midtempo w/a some nice counterpoints & a lyrical quality.
3. Lightly bouncy, midtempo and warm.
*4. Drums add extra goodness to this mid/downtempo jam. Yow!
5. Squeaky intro, slow, then mid. Bright, tripping blend of sounds.
6. Slow intro into sweeping, cinematic mid/upbeat suite.
*7. Bright mid/upbeat dance w/a touch of romance. Sigh.
8. Percussion intro to a midtempo sway with a hint of tango.
9. Upbeat bounce w/a sweet interplay and some good solos.
10. Midtempo, warm blend of tones and a melodic sweep.
11. Playful mid/upbeat tune with a carnival-like quality.
12. Hip upbeat contemporary jazz sound w/lots of style.
13. Bright, happy bounce like a joyful folksong updated.
