Rock band with humor and a little swagger messing around in the studio. Mostly rough M vocalist with some F backing. Good songs, not too precious, though often too repetitive. Hints of noise in the simple rock structure. Sounds like something I would have liked in the late 80s: an obscure European import from their rock underground- which this is. (4th release we have from them.)
Disc 1: +1.watery wash synth, rock (hint of psych/grunge) guitar, brief electropop vocal then growled M vocal. A bit long, and ruins the build with some silly raspberries at the last minute, though one could argue that it’s good they’re not being too serious.
+2.mid-tempo rock
3.Plodding drum machine, plodding song
4.Joy Division bass & drum machine, not much else going for it. Mid-tempo
5.sly. I like but too long and unchanging despite the build/fall
+6.ambient breakbeat protorap? Unlike the rest of this disc.
Disc 2. 1(7 in ZK):slow, druggy. No guitar just beatbox, synth, sung-spoken vocal
+2(8).fuzzy guitar & stuttering synth, mid-energy
+3(9).dub beat, mid-slow, fuzzy warbling, rap-spoken vocal
4.slow acapella intro, instruments fade in. Lethargic
5.upbeat, silly rock, gets a little dull
6.Story over rhythm section, low key
+7.mid-fast rock. F backing vocals more yelled than sung
