80’s sounding synth pop/dance music, no singing, with a few tracks including real guitar/bass/drums playing rock. I think I hear samples from Art of Noise, Severed Heads, and less familiar bands but maybe they’re just using the same tech. Nothing extraordinary, most tracks decent, can stand on its own or be a great soundbed. Desktop pop?
1. Chicken & explosive samples over a simple buzzy bassline. More beat-y 2nd half.
2. big beat, slap bass, “get down yeah” F vocal sample. Slows down halfway through and keeps slowing to an experimental pace, then picks back up
3.very simple bass with various noises & samples above, kinda fun
4.”ambient” samples, house beat. I like it but sounds repetitive by 2nd half.
5.Shorter track, would be good for a cop show with its snippits of wah guitar
6.high-register sped-up minor key modulations
7.there’s something wrong with the intro rhythm- wish it kept being weird but instead turns into guitar wankery.
8/.mid-tempo boring filler
9.remix of #8! It’s an improvement.
10.enjoyable upbeat melodic though rather simple and a bit too long
11.wet noises, sparse beat, “here come a big train choo choo” vocal sample, full sound by end.
12.spacey beats “glory glory” sample
13.Rock guitar, bass, beatbox, indecipherable whispered vocal. At T-2:30 it slows down into a couple guys singing like mediocre karaoke in a language I don’t recognize over beatbox and loose guiter
14.sorta dub instrumental. Mellow and low.
15.medium-fast beat, and spoken to the beat is M voice non-english
16.synths w/no beatbox, kinda spacey
