Chicago based group, modern post bop, Kahil on drums, Malachi Favors acoustic bass, Ari Brown piano, tenor sax and Phaoah Sanders tenor sax.
1: 19:40 applause & introducing the group, slow piano + bass intro then mid tempo, applause & announcing Pharoah Sanders on next track.
****2: 25:34 Pharoah Sanders mellow squawking sax, ramps up a bit then by 12 minutes honking, piano pounding frenzy then a bit mellow by 14 min. At 16 min piano bass groove that ramps up, GREAT bass work, piano chaos. 1 min percussion??? noodling fade then applause.
***3: 14:15 plinking piano keys, bowed bass intro then build up to mid tempo bass & piano groove, drum kit towards end. nice transition right into track #4
