Billed as Caribbean and Calypso Crossover 1969-79. Calypso, reggae, Latin, Afro, and soul music that’s big on fun, funk, and fire. This is the party album we’ve been waiting for. It’s all damned good, especially:
1. Midtempo/uptempo funk groove w/infectious groove.
2. Solid horn section gets this upbeat jam off right.
4. Delicious Latin Calypso with a Latin flair. So good!
6. Seriously good funk instrumental w/hip drum solo.
9. Midtempo political funk w/a great sound.
13. Starts mid gets into a wacky fast Latin/island wiggle.
14. Sassy brass great guitar, midtempo.
17. Afro Latin funk, midtempo, w/just a hint of Fela.
