Guitar fronted trio that delves into dark stoney swaggery swings a la old Sabbath, channeling the blues through overdriven and lushly distorted guitars. Good guitar leads figure highly in this, not wanky, just genuinely good. The last song is an acoustic ballad that would fit well in a folk set. Three brothers from “the blue ridge farm country of Viginia”. For fans of Sabbath, Doors, heavy rock.
1) mid paced simple stoney swing, very Sabbath
2) ambient dark experimental with layers of treated cymbals, an intro of sorts for next track…
3) upbeat first part shifts into the depressed heavy stoniness, then shifts toward end to double time sections, lots of gee-tar leads
4) slow mindful dark swing, grows louder then midway falls out of time and continues with lyrics on a different plane
5) slow swing, with bending/tuned-detuned guitar note, chill, vocs appear midway, grows louder but swing beat remains
6) swing deepens and is realized as blues, with tinges of organ
7) acoustic guitar ballad, with minimal cymbal treatments only, the swing and darkness remains, this would fit very well in a folk set
