Ennio Morreconi (spaghetti westerns) and psyche flavored songs. All very twangy and cool with elements of psyche and heapings of the bizarre and creative. For fans of Nick Cave and all things Spacemen 3, Love and Rockets, early Pink Floyd even. This stuff is dense and multifaceted, somewhat schitzo, and really interesting, great.
1) strange carnival/circus feeling, starts quiet but picks up
2) slow dark swingy twangy western Ennio Morricone/Nick Cave flavor, super cool
3) upbeat western gallop with spaghetti western trumpets, instrumental
4) swampy swingy bluesy with harmonica and buried vocals
5) FCCs, “shit”, very early Pink Floyd’ish psyche
6) bent waltzy Carnival/circus music, Nick Cave on acid
7) 2/4 beat, polka-like, but of course twisted
8) slow dark, halting, female vocals, picks up and ends decidedly psyche, leads right into next track
9) upbeat with an “X” rockabilly swingy punk feel
10) a swingy psyche feel, a la Love and Rockets or Spacemen 3, the harmonica really brings L&R to mind
11) relaxed loungy echoey psyche feel with casio type brushed drums and lush vocals, L&R again spring to mind
12) a somber folkie death march feel, dark, with a Celtic dark ages feel and phase shifted psychedelic vocals
13) dark bluesy swing to make Nick Cave jealous, long and mindful, with a 1 min outro that explores some Boss echo then the sound of a music box, almost an afterthought so potting down after the echo is an option (music box ends cold too)
