Music for ukulele and suitcase (i.e. percussion). Tuneful but spare, showing off some jazzy ideas in a relaxed setting. The suitcase sounds consist mostly of soft padding, like drum brushes. It's warm and cozy, albeit with lots of white space, and bits of dissonance that ensure no song is uniformly pretty (#17 comes close).
Could make an interesting interlude for any show that's doing lots of acoustic or folky music, although even the fast tracks might slow the pace considerably.
There's a lot of improvising here, but these are all *songs*, composed by lap steel player Myk Freedman. (He's not dead or anything; in fact he's about 30. They just decided to dedidate a whole album to his music.) Instrumental; FCC clean.

1- Abstractly tuneful, a mix of jazz and Asian zen
2- Sounds like it borrows a phrase from "Crazy."
3- Cool suitcase drumming, snappy tune, great title
4- Lots of abstract goofing-around, noisy
5- Slow, lush, almost Hawaiian
7- Sneaky pecking, a Euro-folk flavor. Kind of quiet.
8- Quiet and rambling, starts folky and gets off-kilter
9- A bit of bayou stomp. Upbeat.
10- Cool percussive sound. Jazzy start turns into sound experiments
12- Pecking and snapping, an upbeat anomaly
14- Gypsy jazz, mid/fast, goes off the rails here & there
17- Slow Hawaiian romance. With suitcase.
