Heavy instru-metal” band duo from Oakland. As many riffs as there are meth labs in the Midwest. Somewhere between The Fucking Champs, Karma II Burn, Speaking Canaries and Thin Lizzy.
((((1)))) Uppity, tight and live sounding with a burly guitar tone. Nice.
((((2)))) Lots of pinch harmonics (done the right way) with catchy riffing throughout.
((((3)))) Classic mid-70’s into early 90’s riffage taking everything from Thin Lizzy, Priest to even Cathedral. Nice slow burn bit at 2:18-2:45.
(((4))) Weirdly funky, boogie thang that ventures a little too close to Zakk Wylde for comfort but gets better later on.
(((((5))))) Twangy & slow then thrashy and then back to twangy & mid-paced again. Radness!
((((6)))) Tight riff with a bunch of cool sounding flanger/harmonic effects gets faster later on.
(((((7))))) Sounds like the Fucking Champs tune “Lee Tom” without the vocals. Big and riffy, with all sorts of interesting melodic twists & turns.
((((8)))) Smoky, fuzzy stoned-out doom jams. Rather good, like arena rock riffs that shoulda been.
((((9)))) Sprawling, layered and filled with more wild changes (even though it sounds like they’ve been through a few of these riffs already).
((((10)))) More flanger and a slow building riff that rocks out by re-working the “Dirty Deeds” riff by AC/DC and throws a few more chords on top of it.
Fun stuff.
((((11)))) Downer psych-fuzz doom thing into a few nicks off Led Zep’s “How Many More Times” and slathers in a pile of fuzz rawk riffs & solos.
