Judas Priest (and one time Black Sabbath, look it up) vocalist and metal legend’s half-new songs and half live songs release. Like Dio he’s been on some of the best album in the metal genre and can still sign nearly just as good as anything he did in decades prior. Some of the newer tracks are a little flat but there’s the earlier solo tracks & the 2 Priest classics are pretty much awesome.
(((1))) Click track beat and very 90’s “trying to stay modern” vibe. Vocals are above par though & it’s at least catchy.
((2))) Yuk, too much Pantera/Machine Head “bro-down” guitars and Halford’s just TOO over the top (and not in a good way).
((((3)))) Simple but good melodic & anthemic rocker that has a duet with ‘Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson. Both vocals sound top notch and the riffs are dare I say “radio friendly”?
((((4)))) Live (in the studio?) version of one of his best solo tunes, fast, wailing guitars and shows off Halford’s crazy falsetto.
(((((5)))) Another one that one of his best songs in the last 20 or so years. Straight up classic metal with “personal music history lesson” about. Cheap chorus but it works more than not.
(((((((6))))))) Gallop riff & guitar harmony perfection and Halford totally owning the mic . Soaring and searing and will last much longer than the cheap ass red ¾ sleeve tour shirt you bought outside the arena.
(((((7))))) Basic, super catchy riff with (didn’t know it then) homoerotic as hell lyrics. Rad effect with the entire crowd singing the chorus.
