Vacillates between country Americana mountain music and folk, and everywhere in between. Graham Lindsey’s voice sounds like a country-tinged blend of Scott Chernoff (of Molasses) and Bob Dylan. For fans of Dylan, Woody Guthrie, and Americana. All tracks are strong. I just want to direct you to the pathos-loaded track 4 because that one is my favorite. No FCCs.
1. Lots of banjo, fiddle. Straddles country and folk at the same time; a short rhythmic romp. (2:05)
2. Hank Williams cover. Slower, strummy, more laid back. Stripped down acoustic guitar and vocals only; singer-songwriter-y. (3:06)
3. Banjo intro. Vocal performance is great, song builds in intensity. Apparently there are dogs barking on this track, too. (3:59)
**4. Slow acoustic guitar, pedal steel guitar, melodic, affecting chord progression, and harmonica. This is a really beautiful, melodramatic song and features strong lyrics—The kind of thing that I fall for. (5:34)
5. More country Americana stuff with fiddle and banjo, pretty good track. (2:59)
6. Simple folk ballad with fiddle. Really Dylan-esque with vocal delivery, track length, verses, and guitar part. Only the fiddle prevents this from being a Bob song. (9:22)
