Power free jazz: Loud. Aggressive sax, metal-derived guitar, loud drums, intense bass. Compositions bring the complication of prog/metal. The sax helps it sound like jazz, but the overblowing gets intense and raspy. When these guys play live, they *sweat*! I liked 2,4,7 best.

Rockin’ jazz-prog quartet from NYC with some funny song titles. A bit of “Red”-era King Crimson, “Electric”-era Miles Davis and maybe even Soft Machine. At times they do get boring but in general this is has more quality moments than not.

((((1)))) Guitar fuzz, plenty of sax and interesting time changes.
(((2))) Sorta funky yet very King Crimson-ish, gets pretty wild later on.
((((3)))) Playful, laid back, more straight-ahead jazzy with a few hints a rock & prog.
(((((4))))) Upbeat, proggy with a strange “Peanuts” (or really Vince Guaraldi) style to it.
(((5))) Nice, downtown jazzy style then gets too spazzy & busy to remain listenable.
(((6))) Twangy intro expands into a decent sax & drum driven tune.
(((((7))))) Swingin’, circular proggy jazz ‘ala Soft Machine then a klezmer section (didn’t see that coming by).
(((8))) Decent mix of modern indie rock guitar tone, prog and jazz-fusion. A little to repetitive though.
(((9))) Busy, with bunch of changes but often slow and just “there”.
((10)) More noodly jazz with guitar & random experimental horn bits, too improv-y and weird to really rise above the annoyance factor.
