Sounds Like: Casiotones for the Painfully Alone, James Figurine, Sound Team, Slow Runner
Personal Picks: Tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, 6
General: Infectious indie-pop music with multi-instrumental arrangements that are layered by cuts of synth and vocal reverb. Eric Elogen (the only the man behind Say Hi) integrates a colorful mixture of acoustic and electric guitar, rhythm arousing base, and keyboard/piano rifts to transcend nostalgic moments of heartbreak and female pursuit. Elogen’s baritone vocals fluctuate between soft and loud pitches—temporally corresponding to the songs’ typical verse and chorus structure. Under Say Hi’s fun appeal are undertones of sarcastic humor and bitter emotion--he tries to be "engaging" but "submissive' at the same time
