Neurosis/Isis style doom metal. Dark, grandiose, ominous, epic, and pretty fucking heavy. Pretty impressive post-rock style guitars. The song lyrics are like mini essays about the failure of capitalism and the modern economic system. It's almost impossible to make out anything though since the vocals are always painfully screamed. For fans of Neurosis, Isis, Cult Of Luna and the like. Good stuff.
Picks: 7,3,4,8 *** FCCs: 8 ***
1. slow plodding sludge, but strangely melodic at the same time, soaring guitars
2. shorter, a bit of a start-stop rhythm, quite heavy
*3. slow acoustic start, then builds up into epic doominess, excellent
*4. nice guitar intro then voom, gets heavy, lots of changes
5. more like hardcore, very melodic guitars
6. slow and sludgy with an extended acoustic intro a la Red Sparowes
**7. mostly instrumental, slow and plodding, very fluid guitar work, builds up to a crescendo and vocals appear, wow great
*8. FCC “fuck” sung once (imperceptible). twangy post-rock acoustic intro, then ascends into total doomed out heaviness like 1
