Review of Leftover Cuties’ Game Called Life
This is a CD I can imagine being played at an old-
fashioned country barn dance, or at a Sunday picnic where you’re flying a kite in a meadow, or lounging on a raft or in a canoe floating on a river, lake, or pond. The ukulele drives the melodies, and Shirli McAllen’s voice is perfect for the folk genre, but hardly distinctive.
FCC clean. Try 1, 2, 4.
1. & 2. Both songs sounds like those country-time
commercials. 3. Ukulele sounds like a harp – sounds like a lullaby sung in the background while a mother reads nursery rhymes to her children. 4. **This is the song that made me get up and dance. Think old-time parade-like jazzy music. 5. Two voices harmonize nicely. Song has cool message.
